Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 August 2026

These Terms govern your use of Swadhyai, operated by Redigit Technologies. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Swadhyai.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of the child for whom you set up study. You are responsible for your account, for the study link and PIN you share with your child, and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

2. The service

Swadhyai generates study lessons and assessments from your child’s syllabus using AI, grounded in the textbook chapters in the catalogue. It is a study aid — not a substitute for school, teachers, or professional advice. While we work to keep content accurate and aligned to the syllabus, AI-generated material may occasionally contain errors, and we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free.

3. Plans & pricing

  • Pay-as-you-go: ₹299 per subject, per month. This is a recurring monthly subscription that renews automatically (via Razorpay UPI-Autopay / card mandate) until you cancel.
  • All-subject annual pack: ₹9,999 per year — a one-time payment granting access to all subjects for 12 months.
  • Free plan: every account starts free and stays free until it reaches a usage allowance we set (measured by the AI processing used across the account). The free plan does not charge you; you are billed only if and when you choose a paid plan to continue. We may adjust the free allowance from time to time.
  • Book requests: you may request a book not yet in the catalogue for a one-time fee, which is credited to your account balance for use against subscription fees.

Prices are in Indian Rupees and may be subject to applicable taxes.

4. Billing, renewal & cancellation

Payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not store your card, UPI, or bank credentials. Pay-as-you-go subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the Subscription screen; access continues until the end of the cycle you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. The annual pack does not auto-renew. See our Refund & Cancellation policy for details.

5. Acceptable use

  • Use Swadhyai only for your own family’s personal, non-commercial study.
  • Do not share, resell, or provide access to others outside your household.
  • Do not copy, scrape, or redistribute the content, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Do not upload material you do not have the right to use.

6. Intellectual property

The Swadhyai platform, and the lessons and assessments it generates, are provided for your family’s personal use and remain the property of Redigit Technologies or its licensors. Textbook and other third-party content belongs to its respective owners and is addressed in Section 7. Material you upload remains yours; you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the service.

7. Textbook & publisher content

Ownership. All textbooks, workbooks, guides, and other publications referenced in our catalogue — including their text, images, diagrams, questions, titles, editions, and cover art — are the exclusive copyright and property of their respective publishers and authors. Swadhyai and Redigit Technologies claim no ownership of, and no rights in, any of this material, and nothing in the service transfers any such right to you or to us.

How the content is used. We use these materials solely to power a private study aid for a student who is already studying the corresponding prescribed syllabus. Specifically, ingested content is used only to:

  • let a guardian identify and select the relevant chapters and portion for their child’s study plan; and
  • let our AI generate original lessons, comprehension checks, and assessments, and score a student’s answers — grounded in the concepts, definitions, and direction of those chapters.

What we do not do. We do not publish, display, distribute, sell, or otherwise make available the full or original content of any ingested book, anywhere in the service. Swadhyai does not reproduce a textbook or offer it to be read or downloaded. The lessons and assessments a student sees are our own AI-transformed educational material; where a short extract must be quoted for teaching (for example a line of a poem or a precisely-worded definition), only the minimal portion necessary is used, and the underlying work remains its owner’s.

Identification & trademarks. Publisher names, book titles, editions, and cover images are shown only to identify a book so a guardian can find their child’s textbook in the catalogue. This nominative reference does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from any publisher or author, and all such names, marks, and images remain the property of their respective owners.

Material you upload. If you upload a scan, photograph, worksheet, or note, you confirm that you own or lawfully possess that material (for example your child’s own copy of a book) and have the right to have it processed for your family’s private study. You are solely responsible for material you upload, and you agree to indemnify and hold Redigit Technologies harmless against any claim arising from material you did not have the right to use.

Private-study purpose. Our processing is intended to support the private study, teaching, and research of material a student already has legitimate access to, consistent with the fair-dealing and educational-use provisions of the Copyright Act, 1957. The service is a study aid and is not a substitute for, and does not remove the need to obtain, the original textbook.

Copyright concerns & takedown. We respect the rights of publishers and authors. If you are a rights holder (or their authorised agent) and believe a book should not be in our catalogue, or that any content infringes your rights, please email us at swadhyai@redigit.net with the title in question and details of your claim. We will review promptly and remove or disable the material concerned. We may also remove any book from the catalogue at our own discretion at any time.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for exam outcomes or academic results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using Swadhyai and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or misuse of the service.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Pune, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
